The sailing was cool. I tried to get captsised but I just couldn't. Then Frazer told me how to. I drifted away and had to get towed back. It was fun in the rescue boat too.
sailing was really cool, my favourite part was sailing really far, i also liked being in the RIP boat and pretending it was Pihai rescue. And i can't wait until next year when i can do it again.
I loved it and enjoyed it very much. I went on the sailing boats twice and on the rescue boat. First we got told about safty, life-jackets, the cold and helmets. Then we went to the beach and got our lessons on how to steer it and control it.
When it was my turn I was very excited and I just floated away but the wind blew me to the other side and I had to get towed back.
My second attempt was much better and I succeded the tac around the ball thing and made my way back to shore to get changed and get our hot showers!
When we got changed we had a mini snack, then Tom and Josh (Life-Guards or Worser Bay Boating Club Members) talked about a summer holiday program. After we left and went back to school.

I really enjoyed sailing. At first we drove there in cars I went with my mum. When we got there we sat down on the sets and one of the worser bay life guards told us the rules of sailing.Next we got change into our wetsuits or togs, we went down to the beach and we got into groups of 6 and we had a life guard told us how to sail on a boat.After that some of us got into boats and had a go and some of us went paddling I went into a boat after about 10 minutes I wanted to go back into shore but I couldn't go back so I had to asked one of the life guars that were in a speed boat(that lots of others on it) came and picked me up and someone else got in my boat and had a go while I went on the speed boat with everyone else and was singing songs. Then it was time to go and get changed and have a hot shower and go and have our moringtea.After that we went back into the clubrooms and the life guard ask us if we liked it and he also said about how you can learn more about how to sail and I thought it sounded queit kool and I wanted to do it.
I hope we can do that again I thought it was really kool.
first when we went saling we drove down in cars i went in maddys car. we got out and went to the club rooms and the lifegaurds explained the safty and what to do. Then we went to the changing rooms and got in to our wetsuits. we went back to the beach and they gave us lifejackets and helments we then split in to groups of six and we all gatherted round a boat and they told us how to use it.
Now for the exciting bit we got to go caitlin went befor me and then i went i got freacked out and said hasitha could have my boat!!!
then i tryed again but i didn't go out that far. I was the first one out and i got a nice hot shower
then we had our moring tea and thanked the instructors for teaching us.

WAS DA HIGHLIGHT OF DA DAY. but i didnt get long in da opti cause i went last.oh well r.i.b. was so much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUST DO AGAIN
The sailing was so much fun!!! I didnt capsize at all. Some of the class and i got to go on the rescue boat it was so much fun! We stated singing 6 months in a leaky boat then we started singing you belong with me. It was so funny. I got hit in the head with the pole a few times. i was so close to capsizing cause i got stuck under the pole cause my helmet was caught in the rope but i finally undid it. i was the last girl in the water. It was the best cant wait untill next year!!!

After that we went down and got geared up went down to the beach and got into groups of 4 and the lifeguards explained to us how to use the boats. Then we sailed around. When I was in the boat Elise called out something I thought she said move back so I did and I fall out. It was so much fun thanks for tacking us.
Sailing was so cool. But I wish it could of been for a whole day but it was only for a block and a bit they taught us about tacking (turning right) I loved how I capsized for the first time even though I do sailing for a sport it was cool to see my other friends have ago sailing and lots said they might tack it a bit further it is great because I like to do it with my friends and nobody else is doing sailing. The sailing trip was really fun. First we got into the parent helpers cars. I went in Katie's car with Marina and Caitlin. (Katie is Marina's Mum)
When we got there we all met in the clubrooms, and Tom (one of the instructors) introduced us to the other instructors,(Josh, Stu and Tim) and told us some rules about sailing which came under the headings; Helmets, Life Jackets, Keeping Warm and Safety. After that we all went into the changing rooms to get changed into our wetsuits and things like that. Then we went outside to this store room of some sort and got helmets and life jackets. Then we went down to the beach, where the boats were waiting for us. There were 11 boats and 24 of us, so we had to take turns. But before we got in the boats, we got into groups of 6 and went over to one of the boats where one of the instructors would tell us about different things to expect when on the boat. He told us about attacking, and got us to demonstrate an attack, which is when the sail goes to the other side. He also told us about capsizing, and showed us what a capsize would look like. Capsizing is when the boat tips over in the water. He also told us about the different parts of a boat. They included; The boom (The metal part of the sail, in other words the bottom of the border of the sail), the center board (a piece of wood that goes in the middle that you have to pull down if you capsize, and the boat will be upright again. A very important part of the boat), the bailer (a plastic container to get the water out of the boat) and the accelerator (a piece of rope you pull on to make the boat slow down).
Then we were able to take the boats (called opti's) off the trailers and take them down to the sea. They were boats that could carry 1 person. First I played in the water, untill a boat came back. Then I had a go at sailing. I had four go's, and in between them I had a ride on the rescue boat. On my third sail, the instructor said Eilish and I could share a boat because the was only one boat that had come in, and we both wanted a go. When it was almost 12 'o' clock we all sailed back into shore and put the boats back on the trailers and took them onto the sand. Then we went to get our hot showers, and get changed again. It was a mufti day for us so we didn't have our uniforms. When we were all changed, we came back to the clubrooms where Anna and I said thank-you on behalf of the class to the instructors. Then Tom and Josh told us about a learn to sail holiday programmes they had at the Worser Bay Beach, where we were. Then we got all our bags and got back into the cars. This time Marina, Caitlin and I went with Mr Douglas. We got back to school early.
My favourite part was probably riding in the Rescue Boat.
Sailing was the best thing ever!!!!!!!! i had so much fun but i drifted far as out of the perimeter and capsized around 8 times. it was fun on the rescue boat and i jumped out in the middle of the ocean and swam to shore. i will probably take this up as a sport because it was so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there wasn't much wind so we didn't move that fast but it was still awesome and i got to sit in the back of my opti while a rescue boat pulled me back into the perimeter.
me Marcus and Harry kept ramming each other and i tried to get onto my boat once but i ended up in Marcus's boat. P.S SAILING IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SAILING WAS AWSOME I GOT TO GO IN A RESCUE BOAT WITH OTHER PEEPS AND IT WAS BREATH TAKING WAY BETTER THAN LAST YR LOVED IT SO MUCH
